ABOUT US

Who Are We?
Denton Baptist Association is a self-governing fellowship of autonomous Baptist churches that share a common faith and purpose. The Association provides resources to its member churches in terms of planning, consulting, training, and cooperative mission projects. The Association holds no authority over its member churches. Rather, the churches, through their Executive Board members, determine the direction of the Association. Ultimately, Denton Baptist Association is an organization of churches offering encouragement and assistance to churches, their leadership, and their members.

Our Mission:
Denton Baptist Association exists to assist churches in fulfilling their mission and to work collectively in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Our Vision: To help churches move toward health and vitality and become more externally focused on people in Denton County and around the world who do not have a personal faith relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • DBA will be a catalyst to help churches of the association become passionately evangelistic.
  • We will provide targeted, customized consultation and guidance to help churches assess current vitality and move toward improved church health.
  • Our association will be a high-value portal for equipping and resourcing churches to minister more effectively and strategically.
  • We will link DBA with other ministry networks on behalf of the churches of the association.
  • We will fortify internal relationships among churches and leaders to strengthen collaboration, build community, and insure prayer support.
  • We will develop current and future leaders who can take their churches to the next level and increase their influence.

Our Core Values:
Our five core values are based on the foundation of the Bible and the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

  • We believe "disciples making disciples" is at the heart of all we do.
  • We believe diverse styles of churches and ministries are necessary to impact a multiplicity of cultures.
  • We believe more can be accomplished in kingdom growth by working together than ever could be accomplished working independently.
  • We believe each church is autonomous under the leadership of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe all levels of leadership should reflect the image of Christ's servant leadership.
