| Becoming a Man: A Father and Son Journey Together |
8 Sessions |
Becoming a Man is an 8 week study tailored for fathers as they help their teenage sons, grades 10–12, develop a realistic, God-centered view of manhood. Participants — which includes both fathers and sons — will learn about the 4 faces of manhood and delve into the book of Genesis as they examine the biblical definition of manhood. Men’s Fraternity founder Robert Lewis explores manhood as defined by God through DVD-driven teaching. Small-group stories coupled with discussion enable sons to talk openly with their fathers about the issues they face while dads are encouraged to be spiritual leaders of their sons. |

Through 20 sessions, men will come to understand how they are wired and how to move forward with energy and enthusiasm to face the challenges of biblical manhood. Challenging men to step forward, meet their responsibilities, and establish their manhood, Authentic Manhood, Winning at Work & Home focuses on the chief responsibilities men have as husbands, fathers, and breadwinners.
The study presents 2 mirrors to help men evaluate how they are doing in life: the mirror of work & career, and the mirror of home & family. Participants will evaluate chief responsibilities of how a man successfully relates to a woman and how a man rightly engages in his work. Here is a plan for leading men in your church and community to win in life by helping them understand and undertake the challenges of both career and family. (Session 5 includes a frank discussion for men of sexual issues in a marriage. Leader should preview this session before showing.) |
