Good Sex
A whole-person approach to teenage sexuality & God
Jim Hancock, Kara Edkman Powell
|
Yes, it's that big a deal to your high schoolers (and probably to you, too). You can give your teenagers a biblical grounding for their sexuality one of two ways: try to override the life-long influences of culture and their own experiences (not to effective, judging from the state) - or enter the very process that's influencing them. Good Sex is a very different, very honest, very direct, very biblical curriculum. Call it a whole-person approach to sexual formation. Your students will explore with you at the helm:
* Cultural & biblical messages about sex
* How people think about sexuality
* Dating and nonsexual closeness
* The difference between appetites and needs
* How far is too far
* Our sexual responsibilities to God and each other
* Mercy, repentance, forgiveness, and restoration

Life on the Edge
Preparing for the Challenges of Adulthood
James Dobson |
Approaching adulthood is a lot like climbing a mountain. It is full of formidable challenges and considerable risks. But the rewards for safe, successful navigation of the rough terrain make the struggles and preparation all worthwhile. Dr. Dobson speaks to young people candidly and with respect for their dreams...their fears...their freedom to make choices. Life on the Edge tackles misguided thinking about respect, love, safe sex, God's will, emotions, and lifestyle choices. The series offers sound scriptural advice for making positive decisions and developing lasting values. |
