Denton Baptist Association and Capilano Southern Baptist Association (Greater Vancouver Retional Districts, Canada) agreed to a partnership relationship in March 2005 which will extend through 2010.
Capilano Southern Baptist Association (CSBA) is the host of a three-year emphasis known as Vancouver Focus. This emphasis is aimed at exposing the Greater Vancouver Area to Christ through the local churches. Our partnership will extend beyond this one emphasis to help with follow-up and church starting.

This list of possibilities is not intended to be complete, but rather representative of the types of involvement that a church or individuals could have in Vancouver. As specific requests come from churches in Vancouver, they will be forwarded to the Denton Association churches and posted here.

- Advocate for Vancouver - Denton Baptist Association and Executive Director Gary Loudermilk have committed to help in the Vancouver Focus by serving as an advocate for Vancouver Central, one of fifteen specific, geographic areas designed for strategic impact. An advocate studies and gets to know the area to help determine ministry needs and opportunity for church starting in the specific area.
- Prayer Support - As a church or individual, you may commit to regular praying for Vancouver Focus and Capilano Association. Please see the specially designed Pray Vancouver website for prayer updates, requests, and answers to prayer.
- Church to Church - A church in our association my choose to adopt or partner with a specific church in the Capilano Association. The churches will pray for each other and encourage one another. The Denton Association church may take several small teams of people to assist the Capilano Association church in specific tasks (Vacation Bible School, sports, camp, training of leaders, or prayer walking).
- Associational Projects - From time to time, the Denton Association will host a trip to Vancouver to participate in a specific strategic event or emphaisis that would enable members of many churches to participate regardless of whether their chruch was partnering with another church or not.
- Individual Commitment - Some people are out-going adventurers and have extra time because of retirement or other factors. Some of these individuals may wish to pay their own expenses to live in Vancouver for one to twelve months to work in and with a specific church and its ministry.
- Financial Commitment - Churches and individuals may choose to contribute financially to help volunteers go to Vancouver to serve or may wish to give to a specific church in Vancouver to help with their ministry or pastor's salary (many of the pastors raise their own support).
- Church or Team Projects - Groups of people may be gifted at consstruction, painting, or remodeling. These groups may choose to work with one church or a different church each year in providing repairs, small additions, or general improvement to church facilities.
